General Information & Contract Formation

Scope

German Drugstore operates the online shop at german-drugstore.com. These Terms & Conditions apply to orders placed through the website and to the related deliveries and services in the version applicable at the time the order is placed.

Diverging customer terms do not apply unless expressly agreed by German Drugstore.

Contract Language

The language available for the conclusion of the contract is English.

Product Listings and Customer Order

The presentation of products on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer. It is an invitation to the customer to submit an order.

By completing the checkout process and submitting the order, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase the selected products.

Order Confirmation and Acceptance

After receiving an order, German Drugstore sends an order confirmation by email. This automatic order confirmation does not by itself constitute acceptance of the customer’s offer.

The purchase contract becomes effective when the ordered goods are dispatched, unless acceptance occurs earlier by an express declaration.

Order Refusal or Cancellation

German Drugstore may refuse an order before a contract has been concluded, particularly where there are product availability issues, suspected fraud, payment irregularities, compliance concerns or legal or regulatory restrictions affecting the order.

Where a contract has already been concluded, statutory rights and obligations remain unaffected.

Consumer Dispute Resolution

German Drugstore is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Prices & Payment

Prices

The prices displayed on the website at the time the customer places the order apply.

Checkout Currency

Orders shipped to the United States are charged in US Dollars (USD). Orders shipped to all other countries are charged in Euro (EUR).

German Drugstore does not apply an additional currency conversion charge. A customer’s bank, card issuer, PayPal or other payment provider may apply its own exchange rate, foreign transaction charge or other fee.

Payment methods available during checkout may include:

The payment options actually displayed during checkout for the customer’s order are the payment methods available for that transaction.

Product Presentation

Products are presented using digital product images and descriptions. Minor differences between the website presentation and the delivered product may occur, particularly following manufacturer packaging updates.

Manufacturer Changes

Manufacturers may change packaging, design, ingredients, formulations or product composition.

German Drugstore aims to keep product information current, but manufacturer changes may occur before the corresponding website information or images have been updated.

Ingredients and Product Use

Customers should always check the information and instructions provided on the delivered product packaging before use.

This is particularly important for customers with allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions or other specific ingredient requirements.

Shipping & Delivery

Dispatch

Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation.

Processing times may vary due to order volume, public holidays, product availability or other operational circumstances.

Shipping Providers

German Drugstore uses third-party logistics and delivery providers. Depending on the destination and shipping service, these may include FedEx, DHL, Deutsche Post and national or local delivery partners.

Orders to the United States are currently shipped with FedEx.

Delivery Estimates

Delivery times shown on the website are estimates. They do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates unless a delivery date has expressly been agreed as binding.

International shipments may also be affected by customs, government inspections, carrier routing, weather, public holidays and other events outside the ordinary shipping process.

International Shipping, Customs & Import Charges

United States – Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)

Orders shipped to the United States are currently supplied on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis.

Applicable U.S. import duties and applicable FedEx import-related fees shown during checkout are calculated and collected together with the order payment.

The customer therefore pays these amounts before the shipment is dispatched. Import duties and FedEx import-related fees already collected by German Drugstore during checkout are not separately payable by the customer upon delivery.

Other Non-EU Destinations

Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout, shipments to destinations outside the European Union other than the United States are supplied on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis.

Import duties, local taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, carrier clearance fees or other destination-country charges may therefore become payable by the recipient.

Import Requirements

International shipments may be subject to customs inspections, product classification checks, regulatory review, security screening, documentation requirements and other government import procedures.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products ordered may lawfully be imported into the destination country where responsibility for import compliance rests with the recipient under applicable law.

Customs and Regulatory Delays

Customs authorities, carriers or government agencies may request additional information or documentation. Such procedures may delay delivery.

Tracking statuses such as “Clearance Delay”, “Delivery Exception”, “Exception” or “Return to Sender” can occur during carrier or customs processing and do not by themselves establish that a shipment has been lost.

Import Restrictions

Customs or other authorities may refuse entry to a shipment because of destination-country import restrictions, product classification, ingredients, documentation requirements or other regulatory rules.

German Drugstore cannot control decisions taken independently by customs authorities or governmental agencies.

Seizure, Confiscation or Destruction

In exceptional cases, a shipment may be seized, confiscated, abandoned or destroyed by customs or another governmental authority in accordance with applicable destination-country law.

Any entitlement to a refund, replacement or other remedy remains subject to applicable mandatory consumer law and the individual circumstances of the case.

Returned, Failed & Lost Shipments

Returned Shipments

Shipments may be returned to German Drugstore for reasons including refused delivery, failure to collect the parcel, incorrect or incomplete address details, import restrictions or, for DDU shipments, unpaid destination-country duties, taxes or carrier charges.

Where a parcel is returned to German Drugstore, we will review the circumstances and, where appropriate, contact the customer regarding the available options.

Depending on the circumstances, an available solution may include reshipment or refund in accordance with applicable law.

Additional shipping, return transport, carrier or other costs caused by circumstances attributable to the customer may be charged or deducted from a refund where legally permitted.

Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address during checkout.

If incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer causes a parcel to be delayed, redirected or returned, additional costs resulting from this may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

Refused Delivery

If the recipient refuses delivery, the parcel may be returned, abandoned or otherwise handled by the carrier in accordance with the carrier’s procedures and applicable law.

Unpaid Import Charges

For DDU destinations, failure to pay duties, taxes, customs fees or carrier charges payable by the recipient may cause a shipment to be held, returned or otherwise handled according to the applicable carrier and customs procedures.

This provision does not apply to U.S. import duties and applicable FedEx import-related fees that have already been collected by German Drugstore during checkout for a DDP shipment.

Lost Shipments

If a shipment appears to be lost, German Drugstore may initiate an investigation with the relevant shipping carrier.

A shipment will generally be treated as lost once the carrier has completed its investigation or otherwise confirmed that the shipment cannot be delivered.

Where German Drugstore remains responsible under applicable law, an appropriate remedy will be provided, which may include reshipment or refund.

Right of Withdrawal, Returns & Refunds

Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Consumers who have a statutory right of withdrawal may exercise that right within the applicable legal period, generally 14 days after receiving the goods.

Mandatory statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Return Exclusions

Statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal may apply. This may include, in particular, sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once their protective seal has been removed, as well as other products excluded from the right of withdrawal under applicable law.

Return Procedure

Customers wishing to return products should follow the instructions provided in our Returns Policy and contact customer service before sending products back.

Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless another method is required or agreed.

Refunds resulting from a statutory withdrawal, including any applicable standard delivery costs, are handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Payment Disputes, Liability & Health Information

Customer Communication

Customers are encouraged to contact German Drugstore customer service at info@german-drugstore.com before initiating a PayPal claim, credit-card chargeback or other payment dispute.

Many delivery, customs and order issues can be investigated directly with our customer service team.

Carrier and Customs Investigations

If a shipment is delayed, held by customs, redirected or otherwise subject to investigation, German Drugstore may initiate an investigation with the carrier and, where appropriate, the relevant customs or governmental authorities.

The duration of such investigations depends on the carrier and the circumstances of the individual shipment.

Resolution of Delivery Problems

German Drugstore will cooperate with the shipping carrier to investigate relevant shipment issues.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable consumer law, the outcome may include continued delivery, reshipment or refund of the applicable amount.

Payment Provider Investigations

If a PayPal claim, chargeback or other payment dispute is initiated, German Drugstore may provide relevant order, payment, tracking, shipping, customs and carrier documentation to the payment provider as necessary for the investigation and resolution of the claim.

Liability

German Drugstore is liable without limitation where liability is mandatory under applicable law, including cases of intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and liability under applicable product liability law.

For other damages, liability is determined in accordance with applicable German law. Mandatory statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

German Drugstore is not responsible for delays caused solely by customs authorities, governmental procedures, carrier operations, import restrictions, force majeure or comparable circumstances outside our reasonable control where and to the extent liability is not imposed by mandatory law.

Product information provided on this website is intended for general informational purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Governing Law & Final Provisions

Governing Law

Contracts with German Drugstore are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

If the customer is a consumer habitually resident in another country, mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country that cannot be excluded by agreement remain unaffected.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected to the extent permitted by applicable law.
