Intensive exposure to the sun increases the formation of so-called “free radicals”, which cause the skin’s cells to lose their balance and can lead to premature ageing of the skin cells.
In addition to the use of sunscreens, certain vitamins can help prepare the skin for the sun by supporting a normal skin condition. Vitamin B2 supports the cell protection system during oxidative stress and helps maintain normal skin.
The added biotin also supports the maintenance of normal skin and hair.
The vitamins panthothenic acid and vitamin B2 also contribute to the normal energy metabolism of the cells.
The contained beta-carotene is a vegetable carotenoid which cannot be produced by humans and is therefore ingested through food. For humans, it acts as a precursor to vitamin A, which is formed as needed. Since beta-carotene is fat-soluble, it can, for example, be stored well in the layers of the skin.
• Vitamin A (beta-carotene) for the preservation of normal skin
• Copper contributes to normal skin pigmentation
• Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress
