A regular and sufficient intake of magnesium is crucial for health and well-being. Doppelherz’s 2-phase system consists of two different tablet layers, based on a specially developed manufacturing process. It works according to the principle of “rapid nutrient release” and “long-term nutrient release”:
Immediate phase – Rapid nutrient release
In the first phase, 240 mg of magnesium is released, making it available to the body more quickly.
Depot phase – Long-term supply
The second phase gradually releases 360 mg of magnesium over several hours.
The versatile tasks of magnesium
Magnesium is often associated with muscles—and rightly so, because it is essential for the smooth functioning of all muscles. But its importance goes far beyond that. Magnesium is involved in vital processes. It can therefore be described as a real “all-rounder”:
- Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function. It influences muscle tone, which means it is important for the balance between muscle tension and relaxation.
- Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism. Put simply, the mineral helps enzymes convert nutrients such as carbohydrates and fats into energy.

Take ½–1 tablet once daily in the morning or evening with a meal and sufficient liquid (e.g., ½ glass of water) without chewing. If you have an increased magnesium requirement, e.g., due to increased physical exertion in combination with a magnesium-deficient diet, take 1 tablet daily. If you only have an insufficient magnesium supply, take ½ tablet.
This is a high-dose product. Large amounts of magnesium can have a laxative effect. If this is the case for you, you should stop taking it.
